A sporty and peaceful holiday
Welcome to one of the most beautiful campsites in Drenthe. While for now this is a welcome in the virtual sense, we hope to soon meet you in the physical sense at our campsite.
De Vledders is a campsite that offers spacious pitches and excellent basic facilities. We also have hiker’s cabins, tents and retro caravans for hire. In other words: camping in the true sense of the word, without the trappings. Appropriate key words here are: tranquil, sport, countryside, atmosphere and creativity.
Our campsite is situated in the magnificent National Park “de Drentsche Aa” on the flanks of the Drentse Hondsrug where the Drentsche Aa valley begins, in the vicinity of the old village of Schipborg (a typical esdorp village: a village with farms centred around a square and/or church, surrounded by fields on the inside and heathland on the outside). Originally a farm, and now a farm estate. Meadows, woodland, heathland, sand drifts, a recreational lake and the campsite now form a whole. The site layout guarantees a great deal of privacy.
The combination of tranquillity, sportive entertainment, large areas for sports and games, aquatic recreation on the lake, pony and horse riding, make our campsite the ideal spot for a pleasurable camping holiday.
Moreover, the campsite is devoid of discos, noisy amusement and cafés.
Ideal for families with (small) children, 50-plussers and grandparents (with their grandchildren), campers who prefer to spend their holiday under canvass (we have more than 40 pitches especially for tents!) and groups.
